Wild Botanik
This was a really interesting project, as Tania is an artist selling handmade goods online. She had an amazing video that she wanted to feature on the landing page, but also needed help to make it easier for visitors to buy her products online, as well as maintain her story as an artist.
With the main objective of the website established as selling her products online, this became the defining feature of the new template. Hot Lizard Designs customised an e-commerce template that maintained a clean, minimalist look, yet still had the softer touches that matched the logo and company branding. The video was embedded within a cover page, so visitors would be able to experience the fabrication process before entering the site.
The online shopping experience was streamlined, with a ‘quick view’ for products, a hover effect over the images to magnify them, and a straight forward checkout process. Again, just elevating the ‘normal’ shopping process of a single image displayed with information underneath.
The finished result is a beautiful website that truly reflects Tania as an artist, and maintains a professional image to inspire confidence in making purchases or requesting custom pieces.
