Green Road Recording Studio
Federico wanted to set up a brand new Squarespace website to promote his music recording studio based in Costa Rica. He was able to provide the hero image with logo, copy and images for each page, as well as a PDF of a promotional brochure he put together to promote music tourism in the area.
Hot Lizard Designs took the inspiration from the promotional brochure and used the black and green colour theme as a starting point. The green was used as an accent colour for the main headings, buttons and navigation menu, and white text was used for the main body as a direct contrast to the black background.
Full width studio images with a parallax scrolling effect gives the site a modern feel without the black background feeling overwhelming. It was important that the images were displayed in a large format to give visitors a clear picture of what the studio looked like and the equipment available, and these were featured as main banner images throughout the site.
A standard list of studio equipment and plugins were separated into mini categories with a green border like building blocks to give the visitor an idea of both the facilities available as well as the idea of ‘building’ their sound. The same display was also applied to the rates page for consistency.
A custom contact form to a designated email address along with customised social media links to match the branding were also created to finish off the overall design.
