Enhancing User Experience Through Squarespace Design
The AHWC committee sought a complete overhaul of their website to better cater to both new and existing members. The original website was deficient in user-friendliness, dated in appearance, and lacked the capability to showcase images effectively.
The revitalized website now boasts an array of features aimed at facilitating a seamless user experience. Among these enhancements are streamlined online registration and payment options for the annual Clyde to Alexandra race, visually engaging displays highlighting upcoming events, race outcomes, and blog entries capturing recent walks and runs.
The redesign project encompassed various design elements to elevate the website's aesthetics and functionality. This included a comprehensive rebranding to lend a fresh look and feel to the site, incorporation of bespoke graphic design featuring custom icons, establishment of e-commerce functionality to facilitate registration across different races, categories, and pricing tiers, creation of tailor-made registration forms, seamless transition of the old blog content while setting up new blog sections, provision of downloadable forms, and setting up tables showcasing past results that can be easily maintained by the club members in the future.
The revamped website not only meets the AHWC committee's initial objectives but also sets a new standard for user-centric design within the club's digital presence. By leveraging the versatility and capabilities of Squarespace, AHWC now boasts a digital platform that not only informs but also engages its members effectively.
