Galleria Art Studio – Creative Website Redesign
In 2023, a passionate new owner took over Galleria Art Studio—a vibrant community space for creativity and learning. Along with the studio, she inherited a clunky, text-heavy website that didn’t do justice to the energy and beauty of what was happening inside the studio walls.
Hot Lizard Designs stepped in to help turn the page.
We recommended a full rebuild on Squarespace to create a fresh, mobile-friendly site that’s not only visually engaging but also easy to manage and grow. The client supplied the logo and content, and gave us the creative freedom to bring her vision to life.
We curated bright, art-themed stock images that aligned with the studio’s colour wheel branding, and introduced a playful brushstroke font to add a handcrafted, personal feel. Custom class pages feature gallery sections to showcase student artwork and evolving studio projects - helping the website feel alive and up to date.

We also created custom enrolment forms, helping to streamline signups while keeping the artistic vibe front and centre.
From start to finish, the project took just two weeks - a perfect example of what can happen when clear communication meets creative trust. Today, Galleria Art Studio has an online presence as bold, colourful, and inspiring as the studio itself.
Curated Stock Imagery
To match the bright, fun, vibrant feel that our client wanted, we sourced art related imagery - including the banner image above. This fitted with the logo of a colour wheel allowing us freedom to select which colours to use.
These images can be swapped out at any time to keep the site fresh if needed.
On Page Galleries
Each class page has a gallery set up to showcase the latest student work.
Bespoke Font
To keep the ‘arty’ look and feel of the site, a brushstroke font was applied to the main headers and forms.
Custom Coding
A little bit of custom coding was added to the profile pictures to make them look like artwork on easels.
